The book, An Introduction to New Era, captures so much about what God is doing right now! I picked it up and started reading it...couldn't put it down. We know God's up to something...there's been a shift...but most of us are scratching our heads trying to figure it out. Byron Easterling has spent years seeking God's heart and capturing those little nuggets along the way about what this New Era contains. As a leader, these foundational pieces are really important and helped me in developing concrete steps for how to better partner with God for this time and season.
I'm a productive person, a doer, a worker. I am also creative when I need to be, but I could never understand what seemed like 'wasting time' on dreaming. Reading this book, Dream Big Dream Often, opened my eyes to the importance of dreaming, hoping and reaching for your potential future. Don't let your past disappointments hold you back.
Dreaming is a very important part of life that many of us lost during our childhood. Either we weren't allowed to dream, or it wasn't valued by the adults, or there were too many other traumas to deal with that we lost the capacity and the courage it takes to dream. I did not like this book when I first read it because it challenged me. I realized my 'dreamer' was broken and my hope was relegated to what was possible, never beyond my scope of understanding. I had to go back and read it again until I could let my heart embrace the concepts. Now that I have begun dreaming, my future is opening up to me and there is no such word as impossible.
Byron shares some fascinating stories from his life—moments when God revealed Himself and gave him powerful insight. Each story is thoughtfully written and draws you in. But it doesn’t stop there. At the end of the tales, he includes teaching notes that take a deeper dive into the spiritual meaning, highlighting important principles and helping readers recognize the blessings woven throughout.
One of the things that resonated with me most was the idea that once you truly receive a blessing, you can then pass that blessing on to others.
There were many other meaningful takeaways, but I’ll keep this review brief. This is definitely a book you won’t want to miss.
I was captivated by the spiritual allegory that Byron so beautifully shared (Out From the Shadows). It's very kingdom-focused, written from the position of the finished work of the cross, giving us full access to Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and angels. As he shared about the United States and western expansion I could see the spiritual movement across the nation. We made mistakes, but also victories. We ALL get to play in the move of God, being bringers of life to those in our communities. We get to see the compassion that Jesus carries for humanity and then find our compassion and passion to speak life into those around us. I love how this word expresses inclusiveness in the journey. It's a quick read, but I've read it over and over again and each time more is revealed to my spirit. Byron, thank you for saying "yes" and being faithful to pen what you saw.
After reading the first love note (Love Notes From Dad) I immediately connected with it and sensed the presence of God all around me. Afterwards, there are questions to meditate and ponder on, Even though I wasn't interested in doing the practical part, I'm happy I did so. The questions opened up my heart and my thoughts to a greater level. Thoughts and questions I typically would not have. I highly recommend this book to all who desire a deeper and closer relationship with Father God.
